                                              HEALING

HEBREWS 13:8

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

MATTHEW 4:23

Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Good News of the Kingdom and healing EVERY

disease and sickness among the people.

MATTHEW 4:24

News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him

ALL who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon possessed, the epileptics and paralytics and HE HEALED THEM.

MATTHEW 8:2-3

A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.  Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing” he said, “be clean!”

Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.

MATTHEW 8:14

When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever.  He touched her hand and the fever left her and she got up and began to wait on him.

MATTHEW 8:16, 17

When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed ALL the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet, Isaiah:  He tool up our infirmities and carried our diseases.

MATTHEW 9:20-22

Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for 12 years came up behind Jesus and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you” And the woman was healed from that moment.

MATTHEW 9:18, 19, 23

…a ruler came and knelt before Jesus and said, “My daughter has just died.  But come and put your hand on her, and she will live.” Jesus got up and went with him and so did his disciples…when Jesus entered the ruler’s house and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd, he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead, but asleep.” But they laughed at him. After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.

MATTHEW 9:27-30

As Jesus went on from there, 2 blind men followed him calling out, “Have mercy on us Son of David.”  When Jesus had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, “DO YOU BELIEVE THAT I AM ABLE TO DO THIS?”  “Yes, Lord,” they replied.  Then he touched their eyes and said, “ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH WILL IT BE DONE TO YOU” and their sight was restored.

MATTHEW 9:35

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the Good News of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.

MATTHEW 10:1, 7

He called his 12 disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness…As you go, preach this message: THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS NEAR. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

MATTHEW 12: 9, 13

Going from that place, he went into their synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there….then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” So he stretched out his hand and it was completely restored, just as sound as the other.

MATTHEW 12:15-21

Many followed Jesus, and he healed all their sick, warning them not to tell who he was. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:  Here is my servant whom I have chosen,  the one I love,  in Him I delight;  I will put my Spirit on Him,  and He will proclaim justice to the nations.  He will not quarrel or cry out;  no one will hear His voice in the streets.  A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out, till He leads justice to victory. IN HIS NAME THE NATIONS WILL PUT THEIR HOPE.

MATTHEW 12:22

Then they brought Jesus a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see.

MATTHEW 14:35

And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent word to all the surrounding country.  People brought ALL their sick to Him and begged Him to let the sick just touch the edge of His cloak, and ALL who touched Him were healed.

MATTHEW 15:22, 24-28

A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to Jesus crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession.”  …He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” The woman came and knelt before Him, “LORD HELP ME!” she said. Jesus replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs.” “Yes, Lord,”  she said, “but even the dogs eat the crumbs from their master’s

table.” Then Jesus answered, “WOMAN, YOU HAVE GREAT FAITH! YOUR REQUEST HAS BEEN GRANTED.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

MATTHEW 20:30-34

2 blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard tha Jesus was going by, they shouted, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”  The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”  Jesus stopped and called them.  “What do you want me to do for you?” He asked.  “Lord,” they answered, “WE WANT OUR SIGHT.”  Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes.

Immediately they received their sight and followed Him.

MATTHEW 21:14

The blind and the lame came to Jesus at the temple, and He healed them.

MARK 2:3-12

Some men came, bringing to Jesus a paralytic, carried by 4 of them.  Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus and lowered the mat the paralyzed man was lying on. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” Now some of the teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves, “Why does this fellow talk like that? He’s blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

Immediately Jesus knew in His Spirit that this is what they were thinking in their hearts, and he said to them, “Why are you thinking these things?  Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, ‘your sins are forgiven’ or to say, ‘Get up take your mat and walk’?  BUT that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins……”  He said to the paralytic, “I TELL YOU GET UP, TAKE YOUR MAT AND GO HOME.” He got up, took his mat and walked out in full view of them all!

MARK 5:2-15

When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an evil spirit came from the tombs to meet Him.  This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore,  not even with a chain.  For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs, he would cry out and cut himself.  When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him.  He shouted at the top of his voice, “WHAT DO YOU WANT WITH ME, JESUS, SON OF THE MOST HIGH GOD? SWEAR TO GOD THAT YOU WON’T TORTURE ME!”  For Jesus was saying to him, “COME OUT OF THIS MAN YOU EVIL SPIRIT!”

Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”   “My name is Legion, for we are many.” And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area…the demons begged Jesus “send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” He gave them permission and the evil spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about 2000 in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and drowned…..When the townspeople came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there dressed and in his right mind….

MARK 7:32-35

There some people brought a man to Jesus who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged Jesus to place His hand on the man.  After He took him aside from the crowd, Jesus put His fingers into the man’s ears.  Then He spit and touched the man’s tongue. Jesus looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, “Ephphatha! (which means ‘be opened’) At this, the man’s ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.

MARK 8:22

They came to Bethsaida, and some people brought a blind man and begged Jesus to touch him.  He took the blind man by the hand and led him outside the village.  When he had spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on him, Jesus asked, “Do you see anything?”

The man looked up and said, “I see people. They look like trees walking around.”  Once more, Jesus put His hands on the man’s eyes.  Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

MARK 9:17-29

A man in the crowd answered, “Teacher (Jesus), I brought you my son, who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him of speech.  Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground.  He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid.  I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit but they could not.”   “Oh unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you?  How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.”  So they brought him.  When the spirit saw Jesus, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion.  He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.  Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been this way?”  “From childhood,” he answered.  “It has thrown him into the fire or water to kill him.  But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”  “If you can?” Jesus said. “EVERYTHING IS POSSSIBLE FOR HIM WHO BELIEVES.”  Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I DO BELIEVE;  HELP ME OVERCOME MY UNBELIEF!” When Jesus saw the crowd was running to the scene, He rebuked the evil spirit.  “YOU DEAF AND DUMB SPIRIT,” He said, “I COMMAND YOU TO COME OUT OF HIM AND NEVER ENTER HIM AGAIN.”  The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out.   The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “he’s dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet and he stood up.  After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”  Jesus replied, “This kind can come out only by prayer and fasting.”

LUKE 5;12, 13

While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy.  When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”  Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man, “I AM WILLING,’ He said, “BE CLEAN!” And immediately the leprosy

left him.

LUKE 7:12-15

As He approached the town gate, a dead person was carried out – the only son of his mother and she was a widow.  And a large crowd from the town was with her.  When Jesus (the Lord) saw her, His heart went out to her and He said, “Don’t cry.”  Then, he went up and touched the coffin, and those carrying it stood still.  He said,

“YOUNG MAN, I SAY TO YOU GET UP!”  The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother.

LUKE 10:1, 8

After this, Jesus appointed 72 others and sent them 2 by 2 ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, … “When you enter a town and are welcome, eat what is set before you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘the kingdom of God is near you.’ ”

LUKE 13:10-13

On a Sabbath, Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for 18 years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all.  When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “WOMAN, YOU ARE SET FREE FROM YOUR INFIRMITY.” Then He put His hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

LUKE 17:11-16

Now on His way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee.  As he was going into a village, 10 men who had leprosy met Him.  They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”  When He saw them He said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.”  And as they went, they were cleansed.  One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back praising God in a loud voice.  He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked Him – and he was a Samaritan.

LUKE 22:49

When Jesus’ followers saw what was going to happen, they said, “Lord, should we strike with our swords?”  And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off His right ear.  But Jesus answered, “No more of this!” And He touched the man’s ear and healed him.

JOHN 4:46-50

And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum.  When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son who was close to death.  “Unless you people see miraculous signs and wonders,” Jesus told them, “you will never believe.”  The royal officer said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.”  Jesus replied, “YOU MAY GO, YOUR SON WILL LIVE.”  The man took Jesus at His word and departed. While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living.  When He inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him, “the fever left him yesterday at the 7th hour.  Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, “Your son will live.”

JOHN 5:3-8

Here A great number of disabled people use to lie – the blind, the lame, the paralyzed.  One who was there had been an invalid for 38 years.  When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “DO YOU WANT TO GET WELL?”  “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred.  While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.”  Then Jesus said to him, “GET UP! PICK UP YOUR MAT AND WALK.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.

JOHN 9:1-7

As Jesus went along, he saw a man born blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”  “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.  As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me.  Night is coming, when no one can work.  While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”  Having said this, Jesus spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, put it on the man’s eyes. “Go,” he told the man, “wash in the pool of Siloam.” So the man went and washed and came home seeing.

JOHN 11:17, 33, 34, 38-44

On His arrival, Jesus found that Lazarus had been in the tomb for 4 days……. When Jesus saw Mary weeping and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. “Where have you laid him?” Jesus asked.  “Come and se Lord,” they replied…… Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb.  It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance.  “But Lord,” said Martha,  the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there for 4 days!”  Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”  So they took away the stone.  Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me.  I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of thepeople standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”  WHEN HE HAD SAID THIS, JESUS CALLED IN A LOUD VOICE, “LAZARUS COME OUT!” The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

ACTS 10:38

-- how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how He went about doing good and healing ALL were under the power of the devil, because God was with Him.

MARK 16:15-18

Jesus said to them, “Go into all the earth and preach the Good News to ALL creation.  Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.  AND THESE SIGNS WILL FOLLOW THOSE WHO BELIEVE:  IN MY NAME THEY WILL DRIVE OUT DEMONS, THEY WILL SPEAK IN NEW TONGUES, THEY WILL PICK UP SNAKES WITH THEIR HANDS AND WHEN THEY DRINK DEADLY POISON, IT WILL NOT HURT THEMAT ALL;  THEY WILL PLACE THEIR HANDS ON SICK PEOPLE AND THEY WILL GET WELL!

PSALM 103:2-5

Praise the Lord O my soul, and forget not ALL HIS BENEFITS.

HE FORGIVES ALL MY SINS and HEALS ALL MY DISEASES;

He redeems my life from the pit and crowns me with love and compassion.  He satisfies my desires with good things, so that my youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

See how great a love the Father has lavished on us! I Jn. 3:1
